A very desirable example by this well regarded Scandinavian artist of note, best known for his bucolic scenes
such as this desirable example.

An academically trained artist, Knud Edsberg studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Art in Copenhagen.  He
enjoyed a long popular career and exhibited widely, including at the prestigious Charlottenborg Palace in
Copehnhagen.  Generally acknowledged as being one of the most talented Danish animal painters of the 20th
Century, Edsberg’s affordable works have gained great popularity among collectors of pastoral art.

A prolific artist, Edsberg showcased a confidence with the medium that produced consistently wonderful
painting.  Evidently having mastered the premier-coup technique, he applied purposeful brushstrokes to deliver
beautifully composed scenes with careful attention to light and color, perpetually creating remarkably correct
scenes.

Listings for the artist can be found in Welbach’s Artist Dictionary; Munksgaard’s Artist Dictionary; The
Collectors' Art Dictionary; Davenport’s and many others.
